Bridport Civic Day 2018

The High Sheriff of Dorset  Mrs Jacqueline Swift DL  and representatives of District Councils and town councils  from across Dorset were hosted by Town Mayor of Bridport Cllr Anne Rickard  for Bridport’s 2018 Civic Day.

Civic visitors received  informative presentations and tours at the Youth and Community Centre, the Museum, the TIC and the Literary and Scientific Institute, where they learnt of the support of the Town Council  for the different initiatives promoted for the benefit of  the Bridport community and visitors.

To close the day, students  from Sir John Colfox  Academy gave a short presentation about Bridport Citizens’ Charter  – a Rights Respecting Town  and the  importance  of  the community working together for  the common benefit  of the town.
